All I have are daughters, and I have a B.S. in Math. If I sent my children to school for math instruction in the early grades, there exists a real chance that math anxiety would be instilled in them by less-"mathy" schoolteachers, according to this article. With the strong math skills that run in my family, I wouldn't want to take such a risk!
