Good thing they didn't do it a day earlier...
Making the decision to "pull the plug" on life support of a loved one must be very difficult, especially when people can come out of comas for no discernable reason. This occurred recently in California. Mike Connelly had been in a coma for four days; just as they were about to take him off life support, he began responding to his name. Apparently, he is now on his way to a full recovery.
