As of yesterday, I'm eight weeks pregnant. The so-called "morning sickness" is not fun, but I've discovered some ways of alleviating the misery in the last week or so. Ginger is my friend. Ginger candy, ginger tea. Red raspberry tea, too. Also, walks and sitting outside in the fresh air. Lots of rest and losing myself in good books is also helping. And then, the one I hate the most, forcing protein-rich foods down my gullet. Things I avoid now due to bad consequences: fast movement in the morning (esp. bending over), fruit at night (doesn't stay down), drinking large amounts of any fluid at one time (hot herbal tea is usually good because I can only sip it).
